Night shoot for Alia Bhatt! Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi back on track?
Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has reportedly resumed the shoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. The actress apparently reports to the set by 7 pm and the shoot goes on till morning’s wee hours.
Little did people anticipate that 2020 will bring with it a pandemic, leading to a lockdown in the country. With film shoots stalled and releases delayed, the celebrities had nowhere to be in the past few months and were cosied up in their homes. But now, things are slowly returning to normalcy and many Bollywood actors are resuming shoot, following the safety guidelines issued amid the COVID-19 crisis.
The latest actress who has reportedly resumed work is Alia Bhatt. As per a recent report, the shoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-anticipated Gangubai Kathiawadi is back on track. The film’s team was shooting the night sequences before things came to a halt in March this year. Continuing from where things had to be suspended, Bhansali has reportedly picked up the shoot from exactly where he had left it.
A source has informed Mid-day that Alia and her team have been reporting on the set by 7 pm since the start of this month, i.e. October 1. It’s also being said that the shoot goes on till wee the hours of the morning.
“Although a part of the grand set had been pulled down ahead of the monsoons, the portion resembling Kamathipura had been left untouched”, the source has been quoted saying, spilling the beans on how things have been since the shoot resumed.
As for Alia, the actress has been in the spotlight for more reason than one in the recent past. The actress has been at the receiving end of criticism and trolling after the unfortunate demise of Sushant Singh Rajput in June this year. With many criticising the actress amid the nepotism debate, the actress has also found solid support in netizens who are speaking up on her behalf and giving it back to the trolls on the internet.
On the work front, the actress was recently seen in Sadak 2. Helmed by Mahesh Bhatt, the film also stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt in key roles.
