Nayanthara birthday: South beauty turned heads in stunning traditional ethnic attires

Nayanthara, born as Diana Mariam Kurian; is a popular actress who predominantly appears in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema. Her parents are Kurian Kodiyattu and Omana Kurian who hail from the aristocratic Kodiyattu family from Thiruvalla, Kerala. As her father was an Indian Air Force official, Nayanthara studied in various parts of India, mainly in North India. She did her schooling from Jamnagar, Gujarat, and from Delhi as well.

While still in college, Nayanthara started working as a part-time as a model. She was spotted by director Sathyan Anthikkad, who had seen some of her modelling assignments and approached her to play a pivotal role in his film Manassinakkare. Although she turned down the offer initially, as she was not interested in films, she gave in eventually and agreed to do “just that one film”.

She made her acting debut in the 2003 Malayalam film Manassinakkare with Jayaram. Later, she also made her debut in Tamil cinema with Ayya in 2005 and in Telugu cinema with Lakshmi in 2006. Both of these were successful and received great reviews. After this, she had numerous commercially successful Tamil and Telugu films like Chandramukhi, Dubai Seenu, Tulasi, Billa, and many more.

While she has been appreciated time and again for her on-screen performances, her fashion sense is also undoubtedly one of the best.
