Mahesh Babu, Anushka Shetty get nostalgic as their film Khaleja completes 10 years

  • Anushka Shetty, who had a great role in LKhaleja, thanked her co-star Mahesh Babu as well as director Trivikram for the memories
  • The 2010 box-office release had music by Mani Sharma, whose Sada Shiva was a big hit
  • Popular comedians like Ali, Sunil and Brahmanandam had also played key roles in the film

When Khaleja was released in the theatres exactly ten years ago (on October 07, 2010), Mahesh Babu’s fans were super-excited. It was the next Mahesh Babu movie since 2007, when had Athidhi bombed at the box-office. Trivikram Srinivas, the director of the film, has been one of the most popular directors of the Telugu film industry. Their previous film, Athadu (2005), saw a great response too. So, the fervour was high when Khaleja had released. And the film’s comedy and action scenes had impressed the audience big-time.

As the film today turned 10,  Mahesh Babu celebrated it through a tweet. Taking to social media, the Sarkaru Vaari Paata actor posted a BTS video and wrote, “Khaleja turns 10!! Reinvented myself as an actor!! Will remain a special one!! All thanks to my good friend and the brilliant Trivikram… Looking forward to our next… very soon (sic).” The last line is of special interest because Mahesh seems to have hinted at a possible reunion with Trivikram, whose Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo with Allu Arjun this January, was a massive hit.
