Team Mimi is back with another soulful track in the form of Rihaayi De. The track focuses on the feeling of melancholy and vulnerability. In the video of the same, we see Kriti Sanon, who plays Mimi in an emotional state. As loved one’s attempt to cheer the to-be mother, we see that something is tearing Kriti apart even though she tries to put up a brave face.

The official description of the track reads, “Kaun samjhe dard tere, kaun tujhko rihaayi de? When the entire world around Mimi is celebrating her good news, then why doesn’t she feel happy? Why does she feel trapped- that no one would be able to understand and help her in what she’s going through? Giving words to this unique feeling, Rihaayi De is composed and sung by A.R.Rahman, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and it promises to stay with you for a very long time.”

The film is helmed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under his banner Maddock Films. Apart from Kriti, the film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Saie Tamhankar, Manoj Pahwa and Supriya Pathak, in key roles. The film’s trailer has already created a massive buzz on social media.

Earlier this month, Kriti opened up on her preparation for the role and her experience of working with established actor Pankaj . She shared with us, “I am constantly learning when I am working with him, I don’t even know when. I am like a sponge who wants to absorb everything. There are some beautiful scenes which I can’t talk about right now – once you watch the film, you will know. We’ve worked with each other before, so sur-taal toh hai, but our dynamics here is so different.”
