Anti-drug drive: Police detain 51 from Bihari camp

Police in an anti-narcotics drive detained 51 suspected drug traders along with locally-made weapons from Bihari camp of capital’s Mohammadpur area today.

A combined team of police led by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Wahidul Islam conducted the drive in the area around 11:00am on Wednesday.

However, the gang of the drug traders allegedly managed to escape the place tactfully.

Wahidul Islam said: “We have detained 51 people from the Bihari camp. Necessary measures will be taken against them after scrutinizing information.”
