TSC’s Zinia abduction: Lupa lands in jail

A Dhaka court on Friday ordered to send Nazma Akhter Lupa Talukder to jail in a case filed over abduction of TSC’s flower vendor Zinia.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury passed the order rejecting her bail prayer.

Zinia, a flower seller in the TSC area, disappeared on September 2.

Later, her mother Senura Begum filed a case with Shahbagh police Station suspecting two women with whom Zinia ate fuchka at TSC.

After disappearance of Zinia, DU students and leaders of various organisations became vocal in social media platforms in their search for the missing girl.

Later on September 9, the Detective Branch’s Ramna Zonal team rescued the nine-year-old girl from Amtala area under Fatulla of Narayanganj and arrested Lupa Talukder in this connection.
