Time extended for trade fair



Time for Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) has been extended for two more days. So the visitors will get the opportunity to shop there till Thursday (February 6).

Commerce Secretary Jafar Uddin delivered the information on Monday evening.

He said, the businessmen demanded to extend the fair as it was closed on two Fridays. Commerce minister also assured about extending time and for that context the time for the trade fair has been extended for two more days.

On January 10 (Friday) the fair was closed for full day due to security measures taken for the beginning of countdown program for Bangabandhu’s birth centenary at the old airport in Tejgaon. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the program. After that the DITF was closed on January 31 and February 1 for holding the Dhaka city corporation elections. Besides, the fair was closed on January 8, 9 and 22 for half day.
