The one important advice Katrina Kaif’s mom gave her when she broke up with Ranbir Kapoor

It’s never easy to get over a heartbreak. For some, a breakup can change one’s course of life and for many others, it goes on to have an unexpected impact. The case is no different for Bollywood celebrities, who are bound to live their lives in media glare owing to their profession. While some are vocal about their personal experiences, others take time, reflect and open up about the whys and hows at a much later stage in life. Something similar happened with actress Katrina Kaif, who decided to bare her heart out about her public fall out with former boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.

In an old interview, the actress had opened up about how she had to break before she could proceed to rebuild herself. Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, Katrina shared that it was important for her to take responsibility for her part in the equation and introspect as to what could have been done better. She also added that the acceptance of the parts, that weren’t in her control, was also important.

In the same interview, Katrina revealed the one piece of advice from her mom that helped her get over the lowest phase of her life. “One thought that helped me when I was at my lowest was something my mom told me, ‘So many girls and women go through the same thing; you feel you are alone, but you are not.’ That thought was very comforting,” the actress was quoted saying.
