Shakil Azad Monon is the country leader of Giving Tuesday

Bangladesh Chapter Giving Tuesday is a massive global philanthropy movement led by entrepreneurs, social workers and change-makers from around the world. The workers of these organizations act as the nucleus of the movement. Its main purpose is to help accelerate the Giving Tuesday movement by rallying charities, schools, businesses, governments and dignitaries in a city, state or designated area to participate in the benefit of the local community. Organization for Disabled Improvement and Rights (ODIR BD) located in Moghbazar, Dhaka works on the rights, health and education of the disabled. Mr. Shakil Azad Monon, the founding secretary of this organization and the convenor of GivingTuesday Bangladesh, has been selected as the Country Leader of GivingTuesday Bangladesh Chapter. Various individuals are serving as country leaders of their respective countries in around 80 countries across the world. He expressed his excitement to be associated with global leaders and get the opportunity to work for Bangladesh. Although the task is challenging, he is optimistic. He said, “Giving Tuesday Bangladesh will work together to fulfill its goals with its partner organizations.” He also said, “I want to turn it into a movement to express kindness among people of all walks of life.” We want to celebrate Giving Tuesday movement in Bangladesh together with the whole world on November 28 by encouraging everyone through the campaign to promote the activities of Giving Tuesday Bangladesh throughout the country.
