Shahid Kapoor signed Raj & DK’s upcoming web series?

Bollywood’s handsome hunk Shahid Kapoor, who is counted among the best actors of the film industry, has reportedly signed a web series which will be helmed by Stree directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. As per a report by an entertainment news portal, the director duo approached Shahid for the project and he instantly fell in love with it. And hence, he gave his nod to the project.

As per sources, it will be an original show which will have all the essential ingredients that a Bollywood film has. And it will be in the thriller genre. Neither the makers nor the actor has given any confirmation on the same.

A source told Pinkvilla, “Shahid has signed a big digital series which will be directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, the directors of Stree and The Family Man. After tasting super success with The Family Man especially on the web, several OTT giants were in talks with the director duo to design a project for them. They have finally been signed on by a leading digital platform for an original show which will have all the essential ingredients that a usual Bollywood film has. It’s a thriller that will have the quirks of Raj and DK infused in it.” Some sources also told the entertainment news portal that the actor might begin filming for the web series after wrapping up Jersey’s shoot.

The actor was last seen in Kabir Singh in 2019. The Sandeep Vanga directorial received mixed reviews from the audience however it did extremely well at the box office.

Shahid’s next film Jersey is being helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and it stars Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur. The movie is an adaptation of a 2019 Telugu film of the same name.
