Shah Rukh Khan to revisit Raj, Salman Khan to resurrect Prem for Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha?
It was earlier reported that Shah Rukh Khan had shot for a cameo in Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. Reportedly, the superstar had shot for his portion in Delhi, which was directed by Aamir himself. According to a recent report, Aamir has also approached Salman Khan for a cameo.
As per Mumbai Mirror, SRK’s portion is set in the mid-90s and he will be revisiting his iconic character of Raj from his blockbuster 1995 film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. As per the report, Aamir’s character will land on the sets to meet SRK around the release of DDLJ to share his personal experiences. SRK, it has been reported, will be made to look 25 years younger with the use of prosthetics and VFX.
The makers, the report says, are yet to decide which iconic film character of Salman Khan will be revisited for his cameo. Aamir is keen to have Salman as Prem, who gained immense popularity in films such as Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Hum Saath Saath Hain during the 90s.
An official remake of 1994 Hollywood classic Forrest Gump, Laal Singh Chaddha is directed by Advait Chandan of Secret Superstar fame. The screenplay is by seasoned actor Atul Kulkarni.
Laal Singh Chaddha, featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan as the female lead, marks the Bollywood debut of Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi. The film was earlier scheduled to hit the screens on Christmas this year. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was postponed by a year and will now come out on Christmas 2021.
