The entire nation is currently furious and in shock after what happened in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras and Balrampur. After a 19-year-old girl and 22-year-old woman were brutally gang-raped, citizens from across the nation expressed anger, frustration and demanded strict action against the culprits.

Bollywood celebs also took to social media to condemn the acts that shook the entire nation to its core. From Akshay Kumar to Kriti Sanon and Dia Mirza, stars demanded strict laws and punishment against the accused. While many shared their grief for the victims, the gruesome incidents also highlighted the problem of caste discrimination that is still prevalent in society.

Highlighting the same point in her recent tweet, Bollywood actress Sayani Gupta, who is famous for her work in movies and shows like Article 15, Four More Shots Please! among others, took a dig at Shah Rukh Khan for his Gandhi Jayanti post, which the actor shared earlier today.

Retweeting SRK’s tweet, Sayani urged him to take notice of the issue and speak up in support of the “Dalit brothers and sisters”. “Say something. The Right thing. Gandhi also taught us to speak up for the Truth, the downtrodden, the exploited, for our Dalit brothers and sisters. Don’t just shut your ears and eyes and mouths,” wrote the actress.

Shah Rukh, earlier today had posted a picture of his children, Suhana and AbRam, as he went on to reveal the one teaching by Gandhi ji that he wants his kids to learn. “If this Gandhi Jayanti there is One ideal we would like our children to follow, in good times, bad times and all the time….it should be Hear no bad…see no bad….speak no bad!  Remembering the value of truth on Gandhiji’s 151st Birth Anniversary,” read his tweet.

For the unversed, Sayani and SRK have previously worked together in Fan.
