Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, who got married in 2018, have bought a luxurious villa in Alibaug, near Mumbai. The power couple completed the formalities on September 13 and are now proud owners of a 5-bhk bungalow at the popular holiday destination. As per reports, the cost of the house is close to Rs 22 crore; while they are said to have paid Rs 1.32 crore stamp duty for the whopping deal.

The bungalow is spread across 9,000 square metres (sq m) of land in a village called Mapgaon. This will be Deepika and Ranveer’s second home or more like, holiday home when they want to escape from the Mumbai hustle.

Deepika and Ranveer were spotted at the local registrar’s office in Alibaug when the news of them investing in a new possession surfaced online. Ranveer didn’t expect to be recognised the localities considering he decided to cover himself with a hoodie and mask. Yet, a bunch of people got to know that DeepVeer are in Alibaug and they were mobbed by fans outside the local registrar’s office.

According to report carried by the Hindustan Times, the couple purchased the property from a person named Rajesh S Jaggi.

Deepika and Ranveer currently reside at a high-rise in Mumbai’s Prabhadevi area. It’s a 4-bhk flat which Deepika has been owning since 2010. Post marriage, Ranveer decided to move into the same house while he has reportedly invested in another 5-bhk flat in the same tower.

Last month, Deepika is believed to have also bought a service apartment in an under-construction tower at her hometown, Bengaluru.
