RAB mobile court sentences 11 fraudsters at Pangu Hospital



A mobile court of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-2 on Wednesday detained 11 fraudsters conducting a raid at Pangu Hospital in the city.

At that time, executive magistrate of the mobile court awarded the arrested persons six months of sentences.


RAB-2 said the arrested fraudsters were involved in taking the patients, coming from Dhaka and outside Dhaka, to different private hospitals and clinics alluring them of providing better treatment.

They used to realise hefty amounts of money from the patients. If the patients were unable to pay them, they used to harass them in various ways.

Conducting a drive, the RAB-2 arrested 11 such fraudsters from the hospital premises on the basis of a complaint. As the complaint was found authentic during preliminary questioning, the mobile court’s executive magistrate Polash Kumar Basu gave each of them a six months’ jail sentence.
