Prabhas, Shruti Haasan wrap up first shooting schedule of Salaar

Baahubali star Prabhs’s upcoming film Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel of KGF Chapter 1 and KGF Chapter 2 fame. The film was announced when Prashanth Neel unveiled the poster of the movie on December 2, 2020. Shruti Haasan has been roped in to play the female lead in the movie, and this is the first time Shruti is joining Prabhas for a film.

Now, the latest news is that the film’s first schedule has been wrapped up in Hyderabad. The cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda took to his twitter and shared a BTS picture from the sets of Salaar. In the caption, he wrote, “Climbing a mountain. #SALAAR end of 1st schedule (Sic).”

The stunning black and white picture shows Salaar crew climbing a ladder to set up a shot.

Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, who is bankrolling the KGF franchise, will be producing this film as well. Salaar is tipped to be an action thriller with Prabhas playing a violent character. Apart from Prabhas and Shruti Haasan, Kannada actor Madhu Guruswamy has been roped in to play a crucial role in the film. The film will hit the theatres later this year or early 2022.

On the work front, Prabhas is currently waiting for the release of Radha Krishna Kumar’s Radhe Shyam with Pooja Hegde. He will begin shooting for Nag Ashwin’s upcoming film, which will have Deepika Padukone as the female lead. He also a part of Adipurush, directed by Om Raut.

Meanwhile, Other hand, Shruti also awaiting the release of Tamil film Laabam, directed by S. P. Jananathan. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role. She will soon also be seen in Vakeel Saab with Pawan Kalyan, the Telugu remake of Pink. The movie is jointly bankrolled by Boney Kapoor and Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations and Bay View Projects with popular music director SS Thaman composing the soundtrack.
