PM to swear-in countrymen on Victory Day

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will swear-in people of the country in the afternoon of December 16 on the occasion of 50th anniversary of victory.

It was stated by Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury, chief coordinator of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee, while talking to reporters following a meeting at the secretariat on Thursday (December 2).

Earlier, a meeting of the security sub-committee on the occasion of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Birth Centenary, was held with Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal in the chair.

Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury said the function will be held at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad.

He said the parade at the Parade Square will be organised in a bigger way on December 16. An international parade will be held there with the presence of soldiers from six countries.

Chowdhury said the Prime Minister will conduct an oath across the country at about 4:30pm on December 16 from there which will be attended by people from all strata of the society.

Asked what would be the subject matter of the oath, he said it would be disclosed later on.
