Panja Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty-starrer Uppena trailer crosses 5 million views

Uppena is a romantic entertainer in which Panja Vaishnav Tej and Krithi Shetty are playing the lead roles. Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi is playing the antagonist in Uppena. The official trailer of the film was launched by Jr NTR on Thursday.

The trailer has been trending on social media platforms for a now. The trailer of the film has crossed 5 million views on YouTube. Today, the makers of the film took to their official Twitter handle and wrote, “Orey Thaalimpuuu Trailer 5 Million Views Kottesindi raaa…#UppenaOnFeb12th #Uppena #PanjaVaisshnavTej @VijaySethuOffl @IamKrithiShetty @BuchiBabuSana @aryasukku @ThisIsDSP @NavinNooli @SukumarWritings @adityamusic (Sic).”

The two-minute-ten-seconds-long intense trailer tells the love story and also shows other elements in the film. The protagonist dreams of his love story to be as great as Laila-Majnu, Devadasu-Parvathi and Romeo-Juliet. Vijay Sethupathi is introduced in an intense role as Krithi Shetty’s father for whom honour of family and community are everything.

The trailer also shows the amazing chemistry between Vaisshnav and Krithi’s characters as he keeps pining after her and she reacts rns to his affection.

This film will be Buchi Babu, Vaisshnav Tej and Shetty’s debut in Tollywood. Music of the film has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad while cinematography by Shamdar. The film is bankrolled under Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings. Uppena is slated for release on February 12 across the globe. Uppena was supposed to hit screens last year but was pushed due to the pandemic and the consequent shutdown of theatres. However, with theatres reopening now, the filmmakers announced the release date.
