Most of errors in textbooks occurred 10 years ago

Education Minister Dipu Moni yesterday said most of the mistakes in textbooks were made 10 years ago.
“At present, if there is any mistake in textbooks, it is inadvertent. And in case anyone makes errors on purpose, we have formed enquiry committees. We are correcting these,” she told reporters in Chandpur.
The minister inaugurated three boat schools in the Dakatia river on the occasion of the 50th founding anniversary of Brac.
“We have included various entertaining topics in our new curriculum so that children feel interested. From now on, if children don’t not want to go to school, the boat schools will appear before them.”
Safi Rahman Khan, director of Brac education programme, said the educational activities for the underprivileged children would continue from 10:00am to 4:00pm every day.
