Momen wishes Modi’s mother on her 100th birthday

Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen on Saturday wished Heeraben Modi, mother of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on her 100th birthday.

Momen, who is now visiting New Delhi to join the Joint Consultative Commission (JCC) meeting here, has sent a bouquet of 100 red roses to the Indian PM’s mother wishing her sound health in the coming days.

Bangladesh New Delhi mission sent the bouquet wishing happy birthday of Heeraben Modi to Indian Prime Minister’s residence through diplomatic channel (MEA), a senior diplomat of Bangladesh high commission told BSS.

Momen arrived here today to join the 7th round of Bangladesh-India Joint Consultative Commission (JCC) meeting slated for tomorrow.

Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen will co-chair the meeting.

The JCC will review the entire gamut of bilateral relations, including border management, security, trade and investment, connectivity, energy, water resources, development partnership and regional and multilateral issues will also be discussed.

As part of his India visit, Foreign Minister Momen will join a function styled “Interactive Business Meeting” being jointly organised by Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) here this evening.
