Language Movement veteran Ahmed Ali dies
Language Movement veteran Advocate Ahmed Ali passed away earlier today at the capital’s Apollo Hospital.
He was 96 at his last breath.
Ahmed Ali, a pride of Brahmanbaria’s Nobinagar upazila, was one of the noteworthy organizers of the War of Liberation and a close companion to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Ahmed Ali, the first post-liberation DC of Cumilla, will be buried at Shashongacha graveyard in Cumilla after namaz-e-janaja at his native village Kazlia and Cumilla Townhall ground later.
