Khoka’s first namaz-e-janaza held in New York

The first namaz-e-janaza of Sadeque Hossain Khoka, the prominent freedom fighter and also the last mayor of undivided Dhaka City Corporation, was held New York on Tuesday.

The body of Khoka is expected to arrive in Bangladesh from the USA on Thursday morning.

On Thursday, the second namaz-e-janaza will be held in front of BNP Nayapaltan central office after Zuhr prayer and the third one will be held at Dhaka South City Corporation premise around 3:00 pm.

The last namaz-e-janaza of Khoka will be held at Dhupkhola play ground on the same day.

Khoka will be buried at Jurain Graveyard beside the graves of his parents as per his last wish.

Sadeque Hossain Khoka, the prominent freedom fighter and also the last mayor of undivided Dhaka City Corporation, passed away while undergoing treatment at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, New York at 1:40 pm (Bangladesh Time) on Monday.
