Jersey actress Mrunal Thakur shares shocking details of having suicidal thoughts

Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur will soon be seen opposite Shahid Kapoor in Jersey. The sports drama which has her essay the role of Shahid’s wife was slated to release last year on December 31, but got postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The actress has now opened up about her struggles and having suicidal thoughts.
Mrunal is an actress who made a successful transition from television to films, predominantly appearing in Hindi and Marathi projects. The actress who debuted on the big screen in the drama film Love Sonia in 2018 recently opened up about her struggles in her teenage years and how she overcame suicidal thoughts when she was in college.
In a report in The Indian Express that cited her interaction with Ranveer Allahbadia, Mrunal shared that when she would travel by local train during her college years, the thought of jumping off the train would cross her mind.

According to the actress, between the ages of 15 to 20, when students are still trying to discover new facets of their lives, they can face a few challenges which can lead to suicidal thoughts. When asked if she ever subjected herself to them, Mrunal said, “I used to travel by local trains. I used to stand at the door and sometimes, I would feel like jumping off.”
The actress also opened up about her journey, revealing her parents wanted her to become a dentist but she convinced them to allow her to pursue a degree in Mass Communication. Mrunal, however, added that when the course was not what she had anticipated it to be, she felt lost. Staying in Mumbai added to her struggles, but the actress had full confidence in her talent.
The actress revealed that at that time she used to think that if she did not do it well, she would be nowhere. “I thought I would be married off at 23 and have kids, and that is exactly what I did not want. I wanted to do something different and I would give auditions back then. There were many points where I felt like I was good for nothing,” she added.
