Italian Air Force chief offers training for BAF personnel



Italian Air Force Chief Lieutenant General Alberto Rosso, who is visiting Bangladesh, offered, on Thursday, to impart training to Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) personnel in Italy.

The Italian Air Force chief made the offer when he paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office here this morning.

After the meeting, PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed reporters.

During the meeting, the prime minister requested the Italian Air Force chief to arrange training in his country for the BAF personnel on fighter helicopters and transport planes.

Lt Gen Alberto Rosso informed the PM that his visit to Bangladesh was very successful and fruitful.

He said: “I had fruitful discussions with the officials of Bangladesh Air Force.”

PM’s Principal Secretary Md Nojibur Rahman, Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division Lt Gen Md Mahfuzur Rahman, PMO Secretary Sajjadul Hassan and Italian Ambassador to Bangladesh Mario Palma were present on the occasion
