State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak on Thursday said that government will ensure internet services for all people in the next five years.

He disclosed this mission of the government while participating in a panel discussion at 5th e-Governance Conference-2019 held at Tallinn, capital of Estonia, on Wednesday.

Zunaid Ahmed Palak said, “Bangladeshi government has ensured access to internet for its people through reducing the price. People from the remotest corners of the country are getting internet broadband services now-a-days. So, the number of active internet connections in Bangladesh has hit 9.50 crore this year.”
He also said government has been working with a goal to provide internet access to its hundred percent people in the next five years.

“People of the country will get ninety percent government services through online or using internet in the next five years too,” Palak added.
