EU concerned over escalating protest-related violence in Bangladesh

The European Union has raised its concern about escalating protest-related violence in Bangladesh.

On Thursday, European Union (EU) Delegation in Bangladesh expressed their concern in a tweet post, marking the International Day of Democracy.

EU and member states engage with political parties in Bangladesh in line with diplomatic practice, said the tweet.

Expressing concern about the political violence in Bangladesh, EU said, “EU has raised concerns about escalating protest-related violence and the need to ensure participatory and peaceful conditions as the next parliamentary elections approach.”
