Popular TV star Divyanka Tripathi, who is fondly known for playing the role of Ishita in Ekta Kapoor’s Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, shared a heartfelt condolence note for late veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar. The Nach Baliye 8 winner expressed her grief over the demise of the Melody queen and said that ‘art historians would study her work’.
The 37-year-old actress took to Twitter to mourn the loss of the playback singer, who crooned several memorable songs in different languages. She said that Lata Mangeshkar’s songs will ‘live for centuries to come.’
“You have left our nation in a void today Lata ji. Art historians will study your work and your songs will live for centuries to come. You were an era of musical evolution India saw from before independence till date, that has come to an end today. RIP Sushri Lata Mangeshkar ji,” Divyanka wrote on the micro-blogging site.
One of the Twitter users replied to Divyanka’s tweet and wrote, “From where you copied the lines.” Responding to the user, the Banoo Main Teri Dulhann tweeted, ” Thanks for ‘very indirectly’ indicating that I write well. Tumhare tiraskaar mein meri tareef hai! (There’s a praise hidden behind your insult).”

Lata Mangeshkar, known as the Nightingale of India, left for her heavenly abode on Sunday (February 6). She was 92. The legendary singer passed away at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, where she was undergoing treatment after contracting COVID-19. She was cremated with full state honours at Shivaji Park. PM Narendra Modi, Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan and other prominent personalities attended her funeral and paid their last respect to the Lag Ja Gale singer.
