Did Rhea Chakraborty meet Sushant Singh Rajput a night before his demise?

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence on June 14. What was initially said to be a suicide is now being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) along with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Apart from his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik, Sushant’s roommate, Siddharth Pithani has also been called in for questioning numerous times by the police as well as CBI.

It was recently stated that Rhea allegedly met Sushant on June 13, a night before his untimely passing. There was no evidence for the same apart from all the rumours doing the rounds. More recently, a reporter from Times Now tracked Sidharth, who is currently in Hyderabad with his family and went on to shed light on whether Rhea visited SSR on June 13.

Sidharth, who was inside the house at the time of Sushant’s demise, stated that Rhea did not meet Sushant on June 13. The conversation, mostly in Telugu sees Siddharth confirming that there is “no truth in the news”. Siddharth clearly stated that he doesn’t want to be on camera.

The channel had reported yesterday that the CBI is expected to record Siddharth’s statements under Section 164 of CrPC. The statement recorded under the CrPC Act assumes significance since it is admissible in court.

Rhea and Showik, on the other hand, are under judicial custody after being questioned by the NCB. The two have been applying for bail and further details are awaited. The NCB had told the High Cout that Rhea and her brother were “active members of a drug syndicate that was connected with high society personalities and drug suppliers.”

A month after Sushant’s demise, Rhea had shared a note on social media and also asked for a CBI probe. But a few days later, an FIR was filed against her and five others by SSR’s father. KK Singh, for abetment to suicide, emotional and financial exploitation.
