Decision on reopening schools, holding HSC exams to be disclosed Wednesday

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Tuesday said decision on reopening all educational institutions and holding HSC examinations will be announced soon. She will brief media in details in this regard on Wednesday.

“A technical committee of Education Ministry is working to make a proposal on how to reopen all educational institutions and hold HSC examinations. We will take decisions based on the proposals of the committee and in consultation with the Health Ministry respectively,” Dipu Moni told journalists following a programme held at International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka.

Former Cultural Secretary Azizur Rahman and Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education DG Syed Md Golam Faruqe, among others, were present.

Terming Sheikh Hasina as the ideological inheritance of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Education Minister said Bangabandhu not only brought independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh but also established our identity and language rights.

“Bangabandhu framed marine laws while the Prime Minister has won the maritime boundary dispute, Bangabandhu framed laws for the enclaves while Sheikh Hasina has solved the crisis of it, he (Bangabandhu) build satellite centre and her daughter launched it,” said Dipu Moni.
