Coronavirus: Global death toll climbs to 308,642



The global death toll from the coronavirus has reached 308,642 as of Saturday morning.

So far, 4,628,228 cases have been confirmed around the world after disease was first reported in China in December last year, according to worldometer.

Of them, 2,561,554 are currently being treated and 45,005 of them are in serious or critical condition.

So far, 1,758,032 people have recovered from Covid-19 disease.

In Bangladesh, the death toll due to coronavirus reached 298. Besides, it has so far infected 20,065 people in the country.

The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11.
