Coronavirus: Global death toll climbs to 258,306

The global death toll from the coronavirus has reached 258,306 as of Wednesday morning.

So far, 3,726,797 cases have been confirmed around the world after disease was first reported in China in December last year, according to worldometer.

Of them, 2,226,567 are currently being treated and 49,248 of them are in serious or critical condition.

So far, 1,241,924 people have recovered from Covid-19 disease.

In Bangladesh, the death toll due to coronavirus reached 183. Besides, it has so far infected 10,929 people in the country.

The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11.
