BSF sorry for firing

The members of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) have regretted their firing in which five Bangladeshis were injured along a border in Patgram Upazila of Lalmonirhat on Thursday, says a BGB official.
Following a series of flag meetings between the BGB and the BSF, the Indian force has also agreed to investigate the unprovoked firing by the BSF.
Colonel Md Mozammel Haque, commanding officer of Rangpur BGB-61 Battalion, confirmed the matter.
BGB has demanded punishment for the BSF members involved in the incident of firing the unarmed Bangladeshis, he added.
Earlier on Thursday, five Bangladeshis, including Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) man, were wounded when members of BSF fired rubber bullets on them along Burimari border area in Patgram Upazila of Lalmonirhat.
