Bodies of missing varsity student, cousin recovered from Padma

Local people recovered the bodies of private university student Sadia Islam Suchona and her cousin on Saturday, eight days after a boat capsized in the Padma River in Rajshahi on September 25.
Deceased Suchona was a third semester BBA student of American International University of Bangladesh (AIUB), a resident of Dhanmondi area in ​​Dhaka; and her cousin Rimon,14, hailed from Naogaon.
Rajshahi Naval Police OC Mehedi Masud said locals found the floating bodies on the capsize spot at Nabaganga under Paba upazila of the district this morning. They recovered the bodies as those were near to the bank of the river.

Later, being informed, police and Fire Service and Civil Defence members went to the scene.

A boat carrying 13 passengers sank in the Padma River on September 25. Eleven people were rescued with the help of locals but Sadia and Rimon went missing.
