Bangladesh records 212 Covid deaths in 24 hrs

A total of 212 people have died from Coronavirus infection infection in the country in last 24 hours till 8am on Friday, rising the death toll to 20,467.

Meanwhile, some 13,862 people have been tested  positive for the virus during the period. With these, the number of cases stood at 12,40,115.

A press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services on Friday also informed that another 13,975 people recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,064,195.

Bangladesh reported its first coronavirus case on March 8 last year and the first death on March 18 the same year.
