Bangladesh government takes care of 7,000 Rohingya orphans

The Bangladesh government takes good care of around 7,000 Rohingya orphans who have taken shelter at Ukhia and Teknaf camps in Cox’s Bazar.
The Rohingya Child Protection Program was launched at 32 Rohingya camps under the Ministry of Social Welfare.
With the assistance of UNICEF, the orphans are being taken care of, said Mohammad Al-Amin Jalali, Alternative Focal Point and Social Service Officer of the program.
He said after collecting information, examining the information of 30,743 children, a total of 7,054 orphans were listed in 32 camps.
Besides orphans, around 1,500 disabled, destitute, helpless and children suffering from various diseases were also listed under the programme.
