Anushka Sharma begins shoot for Chakda Xpress; says, ‘Back to where I belong’

Anushka Sharma has given many amazing performances over the years. The actress, however, has been away from the silver screen for a while now. She was last seen in Anand L Rai’s Zero, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. After that, the diva backed many hit projects as a producer.
Anushka will now be starring in Chakda Xpress, which is inspired by the life and times of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami, and she has begun the shoot for the movie today.
Taking to Instagram, Anushka announced the same. She wrote, “Back to where I belong… #ChakdaXpress #ShootBegins #ChakdaXpressDay1” Along with this, the actress went on to share a few glimpses from the sets of the OTT films.

Back in January, Anushka had announced the movie. She had also shared a teaser of the Netflix film, leaving fans excited. She had also penned a long post with the clip, a part of which read, “As a woman, I was proud to hear Jhulan’s story and it is an honour for me to try and bring her life to audiences and cricket lovers. As a cricketing nation, we have to give our women cricketers their due. Jhulan’s story is truly an underdog story in the history of cricket in India and the film is our celebration of her spirit.”

Since then, Anushka has been prepping hard for the movie and has been sharing glimpses from the same on social media.
Meanwhile, Anushka has also been hogging the limelight for her vacation photos and videos. The diva was recently in the Maldives with her hubby Virat Kohli and their daughter Vamika. Anushka and Virat, who got married in 2017, were blessed with Vamika in 2021.
