Amitabh Bachchan’s Jhund sees improved BO business in Maharashtra, North India still below par

Amitabh Bachchan starrer Jhund is still trying to find its footing in the various metros across the country. While the film has picked up in Maharashtra, it is still lacking in ticket sales in other places.
The biographical sports film is based on the life of Vijay Barse and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru in lead roles. The Nagraj Manjule directorial sees Bachchan playing a professor who motivates the street children to form a football team.
Earlier today, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the film’s business stating that Jhund has improved in Mumbai an dparts of Maharashtra. He wrote, “#Jhund improves in #Mumbai and parts of #Maharashtra on Day 2, but the numbers in some circuits – especially #NorthIndia – are below the mark… Biz needs to multiply on Day 3 for a respectable weekend total… Fri 1.50 cr, Sat 2.10 cr. Total: ₹ 3.60 cr. #India biz.”
Earlier Adarsh had tweeted that Amitabh Bachchan’s Jhund has seen tepid grouth, with only Rs 1.50 crore at ticket windows on its first day, writing, “#Jhund Fri ₹ 1.50 cr… With glowing word of mouth, the film needs miraculous growth on Day 2 and 3 to cover lost ground. #India biz.”
