After father, daughter tests coronavirus positive in Faridpur

Two women were diagnosed with coronavirus in Faridpur on Friday night, raising the total number of infected patients in the district to four.

Among them, a woman, 32, tested positive for coronavirus after her father at Dangi village in Nagarkanda upazila and another woman, 47, hails from Chandini village in the upazila, said Civil Surgeon Dr Siddiqur Rahman.

Soon after the results were found at 9:30pm, they put the entire upazila under lockdown to avoid the further transmission of coronavirus infection in the community, he said
