Women cricketers see salary bump

Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hassan Papon announced on Monday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium that the board has increased the wages and match fees of the women’s cricketers significantly. 

Nigar Sultana Joty and Co will reportedly see their salary cap at Tk 1,00,000, with the minimum being set at Tk 50,000.
BCB’s eighth board meeting also bore further fruit, with significant decisions being taken in terms of infrastructure and broadcasting.

To get rid of broadcasting issues, the BCB has decided to apply for their own TV channel named BCB TV.

In a bid to decentralise, the BCB has approved five ad hoc regional committees, including Dhaka, Sylhet, and Chattogram, with the board president hoping to sort the committee for Khulna soon.
