Ranveer Singh-starrer Jayeshbhai Jordaar has been making waves ever since the trailer was unveiled. While movie buffs are excited to watch Ranveer in a different role, the film landed in legal trouble ahead of its release. An NGO Youth Against Crime filed a petition before the Delhi High Court, seeking deletion of a scene in the film where the use of ultrasound technology to determine the sex of the fetus was depicted.
The bench headed by Justice Navin Chawla asked the makers of the highly-anticipated flick to insert in certain scenes an appropriate disclaimer concerning the illegal practice of sex-determination of a fetus. The court also gave its nod to the release of the comedy-drama film.

YRF Films have assured the Delhi HC that a disclaimer will be depicted while showcasing the relevant scenes of a prenatal sex-determination test in Jayeshbhai Jordaar.
The court directed the production house to insert the disclaimer in two scenes. “If you are sending a message, send it loud. We appreciate the message but you have to tell people that it is an offence,” the court said as quoted as saying by PTI.
The relevant portion of Jayeshbhai Jordaar was also played for the Delhi HC during the hearing. Jayant Mehta, who appeared on behalf of Yash Raj Films, said that the movie didn’t violate any law and the disclaimer will be added in the relevant scenes in both English and Hindi.
