Alia Bhatt charging Rs 9 crore for less-than-20-minutes role in SS Rajamouli’s RRR

Alia Bhatt is one of the best actresses the country has ever seen. She may have been brutally trolled for her debut film Student Of The Year for her on-screen appearance. But with her second film itself, Highway, Alia’s performance spoke volumes and she carved a niche for herself – with Raazi, Dear Zindagi, Gully Boy and Kapoor & Sons among others.

The actress has a very interesting line-up and one among them is the highly-anticipated RRR. Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film stars superstars Ram Charan and Jr NTR. The film was slated to release on January 7 but has been pushed due to the rising COVID-19 cases in the country. But prior to the announcement, the stars of the movie were promoting the movie in full swing including going on The Kapil Sharma Show and Bigg Boss 15.

During the promotions, fans learned that Alia’s isn’t a full-fledged role but a cameo with her character named Sita. But do you know how much she was paid for this special role? A source close to the film told Bollywood Hungama, “At least Alia Bhatt has been paid what she normally charges other producers in Mumbai. Although she has less than twenty minutes of playing-time she is the official leading lady of RRR and has been paid close to Rs 9 crores for her brief role.”

The film sees Ram as Alluri Sitarama Raju who fought against British Raj and Rama Rao as Komaram Bheem who fought against Nizam of Hyderabad. The film tells a fictionalised tale of the real life heroes that is set in 1920. The film also stars Ajay Devgn, Olivia Morris, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson and Shriya Saran in pivotal roles.
