Initially the film was scheduled to release on an earlier date but was pushed due to COVID-19 pandemic

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, several filmmakers pushed the release date of the movies while others opted for an OTT release. Amongst those who have been postponing the theatrical release of their film, Ranjit Tiwari director of Bell Bottom is one. The spy thriller stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role with Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, and Lara Dutta playing pivotal characters.

The film’s shoot was wrapped last year in September and since then, all fans had been waiting for was the release date announcement. Today turns out, is a lucky day for all Akshay Kumar fans as the new release date of the film has been announced. In a tweet, Akshay shared that the movie will hit the silver screen on August 19, 2021.

His full tweet read “Mission: To Entertain you on the BIG SCREEN Date: August 19, 2021 Announcing the arrival of #BellBottom! #BellBottomInCinemasAug19” He further tagged the producers, director and star cast of the movie. He also shared a small video clip. Take a look at it here:

Just yesterday, Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor were spotted in the city promoting their film. While Akshay kept his look casual and styled a casual dull blue oversized sweatshirt, Vaani channeled her inner diva and stunned in a shoulder-down dress with classic black stilettoes.
