Mastermind School’s ‘O’ level student Anushka Noor Amin and Iftekhar Fardin Dihan got involved in physical relation on the basis of ‘mutual consensus’ at Kalabagan in the capital. Later, Anushka had profuse bleeding. Dihan rushed her to Anwer Khan Modern Hospital where the doctor concerned pronounced her dead before admission.

It was stated by Sajjadur Rahman, deputy commissioner (DC) of Ramna Zone of police, while talking to reporters at the Crime Association of Bangladesh (CRAB) office at Segunbagicha in the city on Friday afternoon.

He said Iftekhar Fardin Dihan got involved in physical relation on the basis of “mutual consensus” calling Anushka to his Kalabagan’s Dolphin Golli’s flat. But, Dihan got scared witneesing profuse bleeding of Anushka and took her to Anwer Khan Modern Hospital by his private car where a doctor concerned declared her dead. CID is collecting evidence in connection with the death of Anushka following rape.

The Ramna Zone DC said, “We instantly went to the hospital where police recovered Anushka’s body and detained the boy. He was taken to the custody and questioned intensely. At one stage, he confessed that he and Anushka got involved in physical relation on the basis of mutual consent. But, Anushka became unconscious due to over bleeding. When she was being taken to hospital, she died on her way.”

DC Sajjad, however, said proof of their physical relation is a matter related to evidence. We are examining whether any other chemical or tablet was used or not. Investigator was asked to collecting evidence in this regard. There was no sign of injury on Anushka’s body”

In spite of it, Dihan was sent to court seeking to place him on a ten-day remand, the DC said.

Sajjadur Rahman also said an attempt was observed on social media that some people were trying to divert the incident to a different direction. “I want to tell them that the victim’s father filed the case with adequate understanding. If any more persons found involved in the incident, they will be brought to justice.”

The police official further said, “It’s a matter of medical examination whether Anushka was raped or not. Necessary evidence have been collected for test. No marks of physical injury were found on Anushka’s body.”

Being the plaintiff, the victim’s businessman father Md Al Amin filed a case with Kalabagan Police Station on Thursday night.
