‘824 dengue patients hospitalised in 24hrs’

A total of 824 people suffering from dengue fever have been hospitalised across the country in 24 hours till Sunday morning, says a note.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services, of the sufferers, 483 were admitted to government hospitals while 200 were taken to private hospitals and clinics in Dhaka.

Apart from them, 141 dengue patients were hospitalised outside Dhaka city in various districts. However, no death was reported during this period even though the condition of two is stated to be critical.

Currently, 2,921 dengue patients are being treated in hospitals across the country, said official record.
