“A total of 50,000 law enforcers have been deployed for maintaining law and order during the polls to Dhaka South and Dhaka North city corporations. The law enforcers will ensure security at all 2,4,86 voting centres in the city, of which 1,597 are risky.

As many as 16 law enforcers are patrolling each polling station while 18 remain watchful in risky polling stations. The patrolling lawmen include four policemen, two armed Ansar members and 10 more Ansar-VDP members.

Besides, 54 executive magistrates for Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and 75 for Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) will discharge their duties in this regard.
