Two Ghanaian citizens, believed to be footballers playing in Bangladesh’s football leagues, were arrested reportedly along with 7,500 Yaba tablets in Chattogram on Saturday.

The arrestees were identified as Ntini Twum Frank, 27, and Richard Dzifa Appiae, 28.

Confirming the news, Bakalia Police Station Officer-in-charge (OC) Mohammad Nezam Uddin said the two Ghanaian citizens got down from a bus in Shah Amanat Bridge area around 2am while going to Dhaka from Cox’s Bazar.

Following their suspicious movement, police challenged them and recovered the Yaba pills from their possession after a search. Law enforcers later detained them.
