EC Mahbub Talukder tests Covid positive

Election Commissioner Mahbub Talukder has been infected with coronavirus.

Mahbub was tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday, said his personal secretary Muhammad Enam Uddin.

He is currently undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital.

Earlier, Mahbub Talukder was admitted to the hospital with fever at 11.30pm on Saturday. He was taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at that time due to low oxygen level.

He was later brought to the cabin on Sunday afternoon when his condition improved.
