Dr Yunus gets bail after surrender

Nobel Laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus was granted bail upon surrender to the trial court in three cases filed by the suspended employees of Grameen Communications.

Acting chairman of Third Labour Court of Dhaka Zaakia Parvin today granted him bail upon Tk 10,000 bond.

Dr Yunus surrendered before the court in the morning as per the High Court order.

Earlier on October 9, the Third Labour Court of Dhaka has issued an arrest warrant for Dr Yunus for skipping the court appearance despite being summonsed over cases initiated by sacked employees of Grameen Communications
